All Wrapped Up

Here in Philippines, when you say "pasko" it's all about reunion, get-together and bonding. Because for us, the most important thing in Christmas is the togetherness with our love ones. I spent my Christmas without anything really fancy, because what make my Christmas special is the happiness, joy, and love we share together with my family and friends!

Here are our little get up on one of the Christmas parties we attended,

Char's Floral Parade
Necklace from All That's Jaz
Casio Baby-G from Time Depot | Spike bracelet from Impulse Co | Glitter blue iPhone 4 skin

Nina's Into Denim
Wise buy Dress and Denim vest from a Thrift Store
Shoes From Celine
Spiked Necklace from Kiat Kiat Shop
Leather cuffs | Spike bracelet from Frances Manila | Gold studded cuff from Kiat Kiat Shop

Let's celebrate year 2013 with fresh new start, Happy New Year and God bless to all!

White Christmas

We watched Breaking Dawn Part 2 last November 18 with our friend, Marinette, and we found these Christmas trees outside the mall. First thing that pop into our mind? Not Christmas, but outfit shots!! lol

Forever 21 top
Flats from divisoria

Shorts from supersale bazaar
(on right hand) Braided bracelet from Elilea (one of our giveaway sponsors: here)

I love this shot so much! The tree is amazing! Oh, how I wish we have White Christmas here.
101 New York shirt | divisoria pants with belt
I opted for a combination of white and yellow, totally opposite to the Breaking Dawn color scheme. I feel very light that day and excited to watch the last installment of my favorite novel on the big screen so I think my palette matched my mood pretty well. It was very hot, too, so choosing lighter clothing was right. I didn't even feel cold inside the cinema. Prolly because the cinema was jam-packed or I was just intensely eager to watch. I've been waiting for this movie for years, long after I've finished reading the saga. I always wanted to see how others have visualized it. If it wasn't yet too obvious, the book was much much better although I'm not a hater of novels-turning-into-movies. I like seeing the books I read on screen. It gives me a wider perspective to what I already know. Kind of a "tell me something i don't know" feel. I'm not giving away spoiler information but I must say that I was extremely shocked in one part of the movie, surprised in a bad way at first. My mind just started protesting while watching (this probably went on to everyone who read the book first hand) but then I was pretty satisfied at the end. The twist was just out-of-the-box. Extraordinary. I haven't though of that! So, kudos to them! I guess my supposed-to-be-outfit-post turned into a blunt movie review. Haha!

Lunch at Isdaan Calauan, Laguna

Isdaan is a floating restaurant surrounded by life-size statues and fish ponds. They serve authentic Filipino foods like kare-kare, inihaw, sinigang, and binagoongan. Besides that, they have the "Singing Cooks & Waiters" that serenades you while you're enjoying their delicious foods. There are also performers that present traditional Filipino dances and acrobats to entertain you while you eat. Isdaan reflects so much of Filipino culture. It is a one stop place to experience how Filipinos celebrate fiesta.

King-Kong was here!
Life-size animals, rawr!

"In far away remote place in China, there's a legend of a gifted young monk who could pinpoint an opening in the sky that leads to heaven. It was said that if you shout your wish out loud with your heart towards that opening, your wish will be granted."
There will be no loss if I try, and so I did! :D *cross-fingers* I hope my wish will be granted!

It's quite tiring walking around. It's such a huge park! Now it's time to eat!

Performers entertains while you wait for food.

They sang Tagalog music, a funny song that means about growing old with somebody. I wish I knew the song's title, It was really lovely!
They serve Sinigang slow cooked in bamboo. This is called Binacol.
Inihaw na hito or catfish
Yummy dessert! Leche flan with macapuno.

Pretty Koi! They will give you a sachet of fish-food so you can feed them. And once you pour the fish-food they will suddenly wobble and circle where the food dropped. The fish looks really excited, jumping ecstatically that I was afraid that they may board on the land, and I don't know if  I can bring them back in the water.

These funny statues that can fool you. It looks absolutely real when first seen.
Mr. and Ms. Obama was also on Isdaan!
Even the former Presidents of the Philippines were also here! haha.

The Isdaan also have Tacsiyapo. It is a way to express your anger. First you'll need to shout TACSIAPO! and then smash a ceramic on the wall. I aimed for "Magnanakaw ng Cellphone". But my throw wasn't high enough (maybe I wasn't really angry) so it landed on "President" hahaha.

These are just some of what you can experience on Isdaan. There's more to see!
Isdaan can be found at Brgy. Bangyas, Calauan, Laguna, Philippines
