My Fashion Icons (Part 1)

I was so inspired to make blog posts tonight because we have just been awarded but then I saw something very (i don't know the right term for what i'm feeling right now) annoying and irritating, oh PISSED! (Perfect term!) that technically made me lose all my positive energy.. Oh well.. :/

I'm going to post the entry about the blog awards after Nina has confirmed it..

MY FASHION ICONS: Part 1

Yes, I'm definitely addicted -- not obsessed -- to young Disney stars like Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, and some others.. I adore their fashion styles and of course, their talents.

I love Baby V's boho and hippie chic fashion 'coz it goes well with her filipina-chinese-latina-irish-american indian look and personality. and we have something in common! (as to i think at least)

I actually didn't know that V had this kind of hairstyle.. this is my version of no-make-up, straight hair with full bangs (on right -- on gray top)

I also love Selena's fun and sophisticated looks 'coz it definitely fits her personality and she dresses appropriately (by age and genre) to certain events. Note: I like her overall characteristic.

3 things I hate

At last! Nina's back online. :)) Haha. Welcome back Nina!

Start..

1. ALCOHOL. I drink cocktail drinks occasionally (at parties, gigs, etc.), I don't drink beer -- I've tasted but didn't enjoy it LOL. :)) Plus: I didn't want to be addicted to alcohol 'coz it doesn't just destroys figure but destroys image and sanity as well.. >:P

2. SMOKE. I don't smoke, I will never -- and I'm proud of that.. I don't get it why teens get peer pressured even if they don't like to do it.. People don't consider the fact that they could hurt themselves and the people that surround them.

3. DRUGS. Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears -- what we're they thinking? wasting their money, image and time for something that gives them more drawbacks than benefits. If I became rich and have nothing to spend my money with anything anymore, I'll walk along the Commonwealth, Ave. and give money to unfortunate people then after my work there is done, I'm sure there's a lot of charities and environmental campaigns that are willing to accept donations. I don't get the point. I'm not gonna waste my life to drugs. There are a lot of ways to use your money productively. Say NO to Drugs! :) Teehee.

PS. The minute I turned off my computer last night was the time all my blog ideas kept flowing out of my head. Too much for wrong timing. Phew! Lucky Me! (sarcastic tone).


Thanks to Nina's comment, i realized that i posted an incomplete article. i checked my notepad and i knew that i wrote something related to what she said in her comment.. so, now it's complete. :)

Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony

Capping ceremony is done before a student nurse can have his/her duty in a hospital. Each female student will be given a cap, while males will receive pins. We will also light candles as a symbol of Florence Nightingale's lamp.

I'll share some picture for you to imagine more hehehe :)

















(from left) 1.Mass is done first. We are in line for the communion. We don't have our caps yet. 2.After the mass, the ceremony of capping is done and our clinical instructor will give you your cap or pin.

(from left) 1.After the caps and pins are given we will light our candle. You can see our Ms. Nightingale on the left side, she carried the lamp at her entrance earlier in the ceremony. 2.We will go to our seats and sing a song to thank for our capping and pinning ceremony and as a symbol of the lamp. We sang "God of Day and God of Darkness" a very beautiful song.

The guest speaker told us that we should let go our easy go lucky years and get out of our comfort zones, aww. "Do your best, and let him take care of the rest"

I am now having my duty at FEU Dahlia Hospital and assigned to OB ward. There is nothing much to do for student nurses there, we just give medicines to patients, sample charting and take their vital signs.

Nina's Debut

Wow! Long time since I blog and Char did a lot of posts all ready! wew... I've been very busy last weeks because of my debut and capping, some virus also visit my body which caused me fever :( bad virus! And my last reason is the lazybug (mutated villain of Char's blogbug)


Ok, enough for my reasons. I know I owe you pictures *smile* but, I will just make this short.


Nina's Debut
I thank my friends without them, my party will not be successful.
and especially to Char, Chriza and Sheena who help me to plan for this event.

My Debut's theme is black and white. My guest can either wear black, white, or black&white. While all of them wearing same shades I am the only one wearing a hot red dress.


If you are wondering what happen I'll narrate to you the flow of the program



I. Introduction of emcees
My emcees: Chriza and Sheena. They volunteer for emcee. I'm glad I did not longer need to force them to be my emcees haha

II. Prayer
My best friend, Ms. Abegail lead the prayer







III. Entrance of the Debutant
My entrance song is "Just the way you are" by Bruno Mars. I had my entrance with myboyfriend, and it was not really planned and he said "Ako ata na surprise?" in eeenglish "Why am I the one who was surprised?"



IV. 18 Dance - 18 Mr. Suave
I did not use the traditional 18-18th's instead I added little twists!
I change 18 Dance to 18 Mr. Suave, they will wear a fake beard while dancing instead of giving me a rose. But, too bad some beards did not stick to their face *aaww*




V. Dinner
Garden Maru Restaurant is a Korean Restaurant. It is my first time to eat in a Korean restaurant. Food is delicious although I did not taste all of them haha

VI. Intermission Number
1. JAMS - Jenna, Abegail, and Sheena
ooh it is very touchy that made my eyes watery, I almost cry that time but they made me laugh :) btw. the title of the song is True Friend

2. Ms. Charice (I call her Dugie)
She have an amazing voice although she is not ready for that number she still manage to have a superb performance!





VII. 18 Wish - 18 Pulvuron
Another twist!
I'll ask a random fact about myself and if they did not answer correctly they need to eat pulvuron while wishing.



VIII. Blowing of Candles
My Parents are the last one who recite their wishes. My parents' friends are also invited to my debut, after my parent's wish, they are shouting and finding my boyfriend and telling him that he should go to stage and make a wish for me too. He has no choice, so, he went to stage and wished. then some one shouted "ok! family picture!" I am really laughing haha

Blog Update

We haven't been blogging for days. But now my Midterm week is over so I'm so back blogging!

Update: Nina is busy on her upcoming Capping on Friday so she hasn't been able to post, too. And she owes us her official debut pictures. Haha. Anyways, I'll make up it though, I just posted the longest post I've ever done in this blog.. Haha. So hope you guys read it and comment pleaaase. :) Thank you.

Like I said, my midterms are over and it's almost a week now so why am I still so busy to post? Well, blame Gossip Girl. I'm having a GG Marathon and I just can't stop myself from watching the next episode and so on.. I am officially addicted to Gossip Girl now (period) Hahaha. Another thing is, I just got a copy of Trickster Online from my cousin the last time we see each other, because I'm, yes, too lazy to download it from Trickster Online even though it's free. (But not lazy enough to download a 3gb GG Season 2 and 7gb GG Season 3) Haha. So i have now another distraction from updating our blog. (Oh no!) But no worries, I'm a disciplined person (Am I?) and I'll make sure that I'll be posting sooner or later. But for now, I'm gonna continue my marathon. :) Hahaha. Toodles.

Halloween Experience: "The Haunted Elevator" -- NOT

This is a Late Halloween post.
So like what I said to my last post, we went to the South (Ortigas) to spend our Halloween. We checked in to a hotel, with my family + my cousins, and we had so much fun :)


Though I don't usually believe to paranormal and supernatural creatures, I still get scared when I get to certain situations..


This is the real story, me and my cousins were on our way to the room. We used the hotel's elevator and it is requiring the hotel key card in order to operate the control panel (it's probably one of their security strategies), but unfortunately, when we got inside the elevator the key card wasn't working and we kept on clicking the 15th floor button and still it wasn't working.. we tried other floors as well and it kept on saying "The floor requested is not allowed" (i'm not sure if it's the exact line but it's probably like that). Then the elevator's door closed. *shivers* we were inside the freakin' elevator with no personnel with us, the key card wasn't working, the elevator wasn't moving and we can't click any button in the panel. will it get any worse? it didn't got into us quickly that we're kinda like stocked there.. until suddenly the elevator moved and we didn't even know where we're headed. We technically panicked and freaked out. And I was like trying to be strong and not afraid 'coz I'm with my lil sister and I don't want to show her that I get easily scared in those kind of situations. So, the elevator kept on going up and we just thought that maybe some people on the other floor is clicking the button from the outside so the elevator will come fetch them (since it's like we're not inside because we can't control that thing) and so when the door opened, we rushed outside but no one's there and we don't know where else to go, we didn't know where the stairs are and we were on the 24th floor so we would definitely NOT use the stairs. Stupid but no other choice, we went into the elevator again, hoping that it will open on the 15th floor.. Haha. But it didn't. We we're brought to the Basement 4 and then 12th floor(oops.. close enough). Finally, someone entered the elevator and used his hotel key card and so we could click the floor we wanted, at last. When we reached our room, we hysterically told the story to my parents ng sabay sabay all of us and it was soo funny and loud.. they didn't believe us though, they just thought we place the card wrong but we knew it was placed right. We let it go then atleast we're back safe and sound. haha.


After then, we found out about the not-working-key-card when we used the elevator again and this time with my mom. It was really not working and so my mom believed us na. At first, she kept on trying to put it right and we were just "it's not gonna work, really" then I suggested to ask someone in the lobby to help us, and that's how we found out why the key card wasn't working at all.. The hotel personnel (if that's how we call them) told us that the key card will have problems if it was placed near any cellphone. So they fixed it and everything was solved.


It was not a Halloween-much experience, thank God. We were relieved and we just enjoy the rest of the holiday. Hahaha. LOL.
