Manila Ocean Park claimed to be the first marine-themed park in the Philippines. It is a common field-trip destination among students because of its marine life education and importance of conserving the environment. There are different packages to choose from. But you can still avail to each attraction individually.

We availed the Pacific Sky Wonder package, which we got from a lesser price because of the voucher we had. After claiming the tickets, they will give you your schedule at Sea Lion Show & Marine Life Habitat and All Star Bird Show. They said that you can only watch the shows to the specific time they scheduled for you. But at the entrance, no one bothered to check if we were on the right schedule, haha. Maybe it's just the way they organize the crowd. But one thing you want to do when you're going to the show: Make sure you're first in line! Or else, you'll sit at the back row and will no longer see the show.

After that we went to Birds of Prey Kingdom, it is a huge aviary of Lawin or Philippine Eagle.
Birds of Prey Kingdom
Just a warning, don't look below the bridge or you'll see this.
This is a message for us. We should all be responsible of what we do to our environment. It does not only harm us, but the innocent wildlife also suffers from our wrong doing.
Next, is the Trails of Antarctica, this part includes the Snow Village and Penguin Exhibit.

After lunch, we decided to go to the Fish Spa to relax while our stomach finishes digesting what we ate. You can spend only 10 minutes at the Fish Spa. You'll give your name before you go in then they'll call you when your time was up. They will also give you disposable towels to dry your feet after you emerged in the spa.

Next to that is the Jellies Exhibit. First, I thought I wouldn't enjoy this attraction because I don't actually like jellyfish, haha. But since they were inside the tanks, they can't touch me. And the jellyfish looks very magnificent inside the color lighted tanks. It reminds me the movie Life of Pi.
Jellies Exhibit
This is part of the Jellies Exhibit I love most. It is an optical illusion that at first look you thought you're entering a room with hundred cylinder tanks, but it's only actually about 5 (or more) tanks surrounded by mirrors.
Last but not the least is the Oceanarium. This is their main attraction. Different fish in their habitats. Aquarium tanks that are bigger than you. And, the tunnel where you can experience what it's like walking beneath the ocean.

Ever wonder why big fish don't eat the small fish inside the aquarium? Because the still feed them through this. |
