Print Moderately

I was finally able to just hang and chill with Nina and others since midterms are over! I know most of you know how hectic a student life is! Especially when you're nearing graduation! Although, I still have my 5th year. Boo for Accountancy.

I've missed posting, though. I've missed showing you my outfits and hearing what you think about it. It makes me happy, really. Haha. Anyway, this is the week after the habagat incident, we were able to wear light clothes and prints now. Able to enjoy the sun, the wind and the typical Philippine weather.

Btw, this is my hair now without any products after 10 months when I had it digital permed at the Tony & Jackey's Salon (view my post about it here). What do you think? Do you think I should have it cut already? Go back to my natural hair?

Btw, never mind my title for this post! I found it funny when it just suddenly popped into my mind while looking at my photos. lol!

Taylor Swift Inspired Lace Dress Look

Fashion inspiration:
I always adore Taylor Swift. Not only her music, but also on how she style herself; Light, flattering, feminine, neutral, simple, and effortless. She's one of my style icons and also one of my girl-crushes, hihi. I was in love with her look at the Teen Awards in London last last year (2010). I am so lucky that I found a dress in Oasap that is quite similar with the dress she wore. On my lace dress version: For emphasis, I used a thicker belt and a hot pink wedge for a color pop!
Beige lace dress from Oasap
Pink wedge shoes from Bloggers United 3 Bazaar
Belt from Cole Vintage

My Top 3 Best-finds as of August 2012

1. Floral detachable collar
Price: 100php
Brand: Genevieve Gozum     Branches: Trinoma, SM Fairview, Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM San Lazaro (these are the list of branches I knew)

Most of their items are affordable, that is why I already have quite items that are from Genevieve Gozum. Though sometimes, I'm having hard time finding what I really like because there are styles which not really suits on the way I dress. But to sum it up, I like GG! Their items are cute and less expensive compared to others. The skirt I am wearing on the photo below was also from GG.

2. Blue notebook bag
Price: 150php
Brand:  Mogul Apparel       Branches: SM Fairview

Before, I didn't know that there is a Mogul Apparel that existed at SMF. Well, that's until I saw this cute notebook bag! Most of the items there are below 300 php, including clothes and bags. But of course, for that price like that, don't expect too much about the quality :) Overall, having this cute and unique bag for only 150? I can really say that this is one of my best-est-est finds!

3. Mustard yellow satchel bag
Price: 399php
Brand: Parisian      Branches: All SM department stores

11 inch width, faux leather. I always loved Parisian shoes! It is affordable with a good quality. It goes the same with their bags too. And to prove that we liked this bag to much, me and my classmates bought the same bags! We don't care if terno-terno man kami! hahaha.
colors available: mustard yellow, pink, blue, purple, red, brown

Note: I bought these items on their original price, not on sales or promos :D

DIY detachable collar

So here's the sitch,  I found my dad's old uniform which was about to be used as a rug at home. It is not really that worn out and its collar part is still in good condition. I didn't want to waste it, so I made it into DIY detachable collar.

What you need:
  1. Scissors
  2. Old shirt with collar

This is the only part you will need in the whole shirt.

Unfold the collar and cut beneath the stitched area.

As simple as that, you have your own detachable collar! You can put ensembles, glitters, doodle, etc. if you want to. You can design it into anything you want.

Thank you for reading. I will appreciate if you will leave me a comment, feedback or suggestions :)
